Sunshine&Roses

It maybe gloomy out but it's all sunshine and roses in my neck of the woods :) It is a good day! Counting my blessings!!! I am so incredibly blessed to get to be home with this little dude and this sassy little chic!

My sweet babies are my world and I am blessd to stay at home with them and their little friends--Tomorrow is Maesyn's 4th birthday and although I don't know WHERE the time goes-- I know it goes and I am proud to say I've been there EVERY single day of her short little life! :)

We have had a rough past couple of days with her. She smashed here right thumb in the door last Thursday which ended with a trip to the E.R Saturday night bc of swelling and infection. And anothr trip to her dr. yesterday and and yet ANOTHER trip to the bone dr. She got two holes drilled in it and drained and said to keep her on her antibiotics! Here's a pic!

K, well this will probably be a "blah" blog.
~ Derek and I bought P90X a couple of weeks ago and have been doing it since we've gotten it! IT is awesome but of course I can't keep up...and they reassure you that it is okay to not be able to keep up! I also have a gym membership that I am under contract with until November.... Which is a good thing! Hopefully I will have this "baby" weight off. I know how silly of me to call it baby weight ...but I say it in reference to the fact that I have not ever been this big until I became pregnant with Maesyn--It was a hu ge surprise and sort of stressfull not exactly the most AWESOME time ... but we got through it and wouldn't and couldn't live with out her... anyways- I ate and ate and ate.....while prego with her and now i'm sadly overweight! hopefully derek and I can stick with this and he can help me hold myself accountable to stick with this program and stick to our 1200 calorie diet plan!! You can help me too!! :)

Rain Rain go A-W-A-Y!!!

We did get to go to the carnival on Thursday night! Yipee! Only a few lil' drops of rain!!! We also met one of Maesyn's best friend's Noah there! They rode a few rides together! :)

They had a blast---Jackson did too!

We also got to go to the parade on Friday morning! This was Jackson's first year at the parade and he loved eatin' the snacks and wavin' at the pretty girls!

World's Biggest Fish Fry

I'm trying to get hyped about this fish fry thing. It's hard to do with all the rain and nasty weather forecasts! My kids are both excited for it though! When we got out of church last night, we decided to take a drive and let Maesyn and Jackson see all the lights. We are planning on going tonight and thought that might motivate Maesyn to be on her very best behavior. But, 4 year olds forget I guess. We've not been on our verrry best behavior today! I am confident that might change after a nap and some lunch! :) We are having to spend our day inside because everything is so wet. This is what our playroom looks like as we speak!!

2 Cakes this week

My best friend Alicia and her husband Travis found out what they were having this week! Congratulations to them!!!! :) Alicia had this awesome idea to tell the gender of the baby to her family and to Travis's family! They let the grandmothers cut into the cake to see either a pink or blue cake! :) IT WAS PINK!! I got the honor of making that cake for them :) Pictures posted!!

Alos we learned clowns last night in cake class and this was my very first attempt and I thought the turned out AWESOME!!!! :)

Maesyn will be 4 next week and I am so sad that the time has passed like it has! Derek and I will celebrate being together for 5 years May 20th.... Time passes so quickly when you have babies. I haven't done everything right by all means...but she knows that I love her and that is the most important...Here is a pic of "MissTHANG" and her pony (and Presley and Jackson's) ...she's attached to this mini horse!!!

I have started making cakes...

I have started taking a cake decorating class at Get togethers. I LOVE IT!!! I didn't necessarily say Iwas good at it, but I enjoy it ( and I WANT to be good at it) I made my first cake this weekend for my cousin Kyle and his wife Katie's babyshower! They are having a girl!!!! Katie's let me be a small part of the process by going with her to find out what she is having and then making her cake!!! It ended up kind of like a small disaster!! I made a 12" two layer round cake. Pink butter cream icing between the 2 layers and over the cake. Baby Karlie's intials were monogrammed in chocolate butter cream on the top and small chocolate dots were on this cake. I had to go buy a bigger cake box and came back home and saw that my BEAUTIFUL CAKE had spit! I freaked a little...but it ended up ok... it was my 1st cake... I had NO beginner's luck!!! :)  in the pictures you can see the small smear mark? Well, this was where it all started....But it was delicious cake!! There ya go people, a look into my first experience at cake decorating!!!
